It uses a flash memory to hold any downloaded materials. The Nano is a small, compact device with large memory capabilities. This device is one of the, in Apple terms, second generation that is to say one of the second set of iPods made by Apple. The Nano is one of the mid-range models. The specifications of the Nano are that it has a 2, 4 or 8 GB memory and it comes in six color choices. The screen is higher resolution to allow more than one line of text and a click wheel is also a standard feature on the improved iPod Nano. The click wheel is slightly concave and textured for better tactile response when operating the device without looking at it. A different accessory available on the Nano is the right sided, bottom located headphone-out plug, which allows an easy connection to be made with the cordless headset.
